Food Craving

I've been craving for East Indian food lately.  We had it for my birthday 2 weeks ago but that just made my craving for it even stronger these days!  One of these days I'm gonna try making my own butter chicken sauce, but for now, the sauce in a jar will do.

I went to grab some naan and papadum as well as ras malai (Hub's favorite east indian dessert), we'll be having an East Indian feast tomorrow night.  Soooooo looking forward to it.

I'll let you know if the frozen ras malai I got from Superstore is any good.  If it is, we'll never have to go to the restaurant to eat it! *fingers crossed*

Happy 1/2 Birthday, son!

So I have abandoned this blog for a good 6 months, I'm finally returning and celebrating the half-birthday for my little man. Yes, big changes took place in the past 6 months, I'm not only a daughter, wife, I am now a mother!

I can't believe 6 months flew by like that...I mean, it didn't really flew by, I've had some tough (really tough) days in the beginning. But God is good, and I can more confidently say that I'm getting a good hang of motherhood now. Watching a little person grow and develop everyday is truly amazing.

Not gonna bother going back in time now, but I will try to keep up with updates from hereon :) If you ever wanna hear about my birth story and what went on with in the newborn months, ask me, I do have a few stories to share :D

Year of the Rabbit

Oh dear, the last time I blogged was last April and since then I have written my thoughts on my diary but have not updated anyone, bad on me!

This past Chinese New Year, I made a bigger attempt to make Chinese New Year goodies and gave some away to our friends out here in Cowgary. Overall it was a success :) I spent one full day making everything - wu-tao-go, lor-bak-go, and nin-go.

Last year I made lor-bak-go but forgot to write down the recipe so this year my goal was go write everything down so to make it even easier next year!

What I hate about Chinese recipes is that everything is an estimate. In many of the recipes I found, it says "add some of xxx to your wish", what kind of recipe is that?!?! Also, the Chinese measurement system is quite different to what we're used to so I had to spend some time converting everything. Do let me know if you would like to make these goodies next year, I'll definitely share what recipe I came up with :D
